Burnham Guides announces 2014 Everglades and Ten Thousand Islands multi-day kayak trips beginning Jan. 5 and running through March 15.
There is truly no other
place like it on Earth. The diverse environments of Everglades National
Park and Ten Thousand Islands range from coastal beaches to brackish
mangrove swamp to freshwater sawgrass prairie. The birdlife is
unparalleled, with literally hundreds of species. Bill & Mary
Burnham, with Everglades expert Joel Beckwith, will lead paddlers
through mangrove mazes to fascinating interior routes, where camping is
on chickees and ground sites, and out into the Gulf of Mexico to camp on
gorgeous palm tree beaches.
